About Us and your experience
Release your Robin Hood. 🏹🎯 and experience the beauty and power of The English Longbow and Mongolian Horsebow.and learn and feel how they dominated Medieval battlefields. Along with this comes our expert guidance and our innovative and fun games and you will trulyhave a day to remember.
We are based at The Gaggle of Geese, Buckland Newton, DT27BS - an awarding village pub, campsite and wedding venue in the heart of rural Dorset.
You will be hosted by Glen who is a qualified ARCHERY GB instructor with a lifelong passion for traditional archery and history.
You will be shooting authentic hand made bows for all physiques. Our arrows are hand made and feather fletched.
We have over 40 authentic English Longbows and Mongolian Horsebows and in the ultimate archery experience we have a vast collection of medieval and modern crossbows and other bows including an authentic 7’ 2” Samurai Yumi bow and a 350lb draw Medieval Crossbow.
We expect everyone to engage fully in any Health and Safety instructions. Whilst our experiences are exciting and fun we take safety very seriously.
All equipment is provided. We guarantee shooting success and lots of fun. You will receive gentle and supportive guidance and instruction. Totally suitable for beginners and experienced archers alike.
Our experiences except for Extreme Archery are suitable for 8yrs+ to 80yrs. To take part in Extreme Archery you must be 14 yrs old.
This is an outdoor experience so please dress appropriately.
Be assured that your experience will last at least the designated time. If we need to wait for a passing shower your time will be extended.
We are available to book any day of the year between 10am and 8pm. Longer experiences are bookable online - if you would like any other time please contact Glen. You are welcome to just turn up for the Have a go Axe Throwing - no booking needed.
