Clout Shooting £30.00 for 2 hours 14yrs +

Located at The Potting Shed, Middlemarsh DT9 5QN opposite The Hunter’s Moon Inn. 15mins from Dorchester and Yeovil.

Clout Shooting is an age old discipline in Archery. It involves shooting at a set point (a flag) situated up to 180 yards away (the King’s distance) Used by medieval archers to practise shooting arrows in to a body of advancing enemy troops.

Our Clout range is 150 metres long with flags also laid up at 75 and 100 metres for those archers who struggle to reach the 150 metre mark.

To score you need to be able to drop an arrow in a 3 metre circle around the flag.

It’s a beautiful thing and has an ethereal quality.

You will receive full tuition and of course bows, arrows and protective equipment.

This is my singular favourite discipline in Archery 😍🏹

There will be some games and prizes during each session.

This is located at The Potting Shed, Middlemarsh, DT9 5QN  and there are toilets, parking and a shelter. Tea, Coffee and Cake are available as well as their beautiful range of plants and pots.
